Internship opportunities The Office of Graduate Intern Programs secures public sector experiential internships that afford graduate students with the opportunity to use their acquired knowledge in a real-world setting. These internships povide an academically sponsored learning experience and an opportunity to learn from the community. The internship experience is directly incorporated into the program. Graduate Assistantships are also available to students who show promise in their field of study. Careers & Internships Faculty Faculty in the Management Information Systems department bring a wide variety of real-world experience to the program; thus, they're better able to assist students in their own integration of academic learning and the practical application of that knowledge. In addition, all MIS faculty at UIS either have, or are pursuing, their doctorate degree. Online, or in-person UIS has a tradition of offering innovative programs to students at the time and place most convenient for them.
